Evaluation and Review
The NSDS will be revised every four years and will,
according to Icelandic law on nature conservation, be the main theme at every
other environmental assembly (every fourth year). The current NSDS was revised
in 2009 and a new publication with main priorities for the period 2010-2013 has
The main objectives are the same as in the 2002 NSDS but in
the new version there is a special focus on sustainable consumption and
production and education for sustainable development.
